Sandwiches from Food, Glorious Food

Food, Glorious Food is a sandwich shop on Queensferry street in Edinburgh (map). There is a selection of pre-made sandwiches and baguettes and they also make them fresh from pre-prepared fillings.

I had a seeded baguette prepared with chicken, bacon, avocado and salad (£2.70). It was well made, a good size and tasted delicious.
They also sell chocolate muffins with white chocolate chunks and a liquid centre (£1.10). I’m pretty sure that the centre was filled with lemon curd, which was a bit of a surprise. It certainly tasted nice – I think I’d happily eat another one. The muffin was very well baked, nice and moist and chocolatey.
All things considered, a rather pleasant lunch. I’ve read other (more negative) reviews on the internet of Food, Glorious Food on North Charlotte Street which is close by, but definitely not the one I went to. Either they’ve moved, or opened another branch.
Apologies also for the crumby photo. My camera-phone’s got a great phone and a rubbish camera.
